CrystalDiskMark is a useful benchmark to measure theoretical performance levels of hard drives and SSD’s. We are using v6.0.

The RC500's performance at a QD of 32 in CrystalDiskMark is nothing really to shout about, but looking at the two result screens the in-house controller is much happier dealing with compressible data for both Sequential, 4K QD1 and QD8 reads.

The RC500 shows stronger performance, especially writes at QD1, which is where most of the workloads of normal everyday use occur.
