Peak read throughput came at the 8MB block mark at 2,050.14MB/s, before falling back to finish the test run at 2,016.08MB/s.

The BG4 read figure of 2,050.14MB/s is a fair bit off the pace compared to the 2,599MB/s of the previous Toshiba OEM drive we looked at, the XG6.

Peak writes came at the end of the test, at 1,306.51MB/s.

When it comes to write throughput, the BG4 is light years behind Toshiba's XG6.
