We used CrystalDiskMark 8‘s custom settings to test the 4K random read performance of the drive through a range of queue depths. The setup for the tests is listed below.
Transfer Request Size: 4KB, Outstanding I/O: 1-32.
In our 4-threaded 4K random read tests, the drive peaked at 412,987 IOPS (QD16), nowhere near the official maximum of 1,000,000 IOPS.
4K Sustained Random Read v QD Performance compared.
At QD1 the drive sits in fifth place in the results table with a figure of 78,328 IOPS, some 23,852 IOPS faster than the first generation T-Force Cardea Zero Z440. By QD32 this gap between the two drives has widened to 48,388 IOPS.
