The ATTO Disk Benchmark performance measurement tool is compatible with Microsoft Windows. Measure your storage system performance with various transfer sizes and test lengths for reads and writes. Several options are available to customize your performance measurement including queue depth, overlapped I/O and even a comparison mode with the option to run continuously. Use ATTO Disk Benchmark to test any manufacturer's RAID controllers, storage controllers, host adapters, hard drives and SSD drives and notice that ATTO products will consistently provide the highest level of performance to your storage.
We are using version 4.1 for our NVMe disk tests.
Testing the drive with the ATTO benchmark threw up some very odd results and ones that had us racking our brains for a while but then it clicked. Seagate rates the Sequential performance of the 1TB drive as up to 4,800MB/s for reads and up to 4,700MB/s for writes. The benchmark produced a read score of 6,000MB/s with a write of 2,850MB/s, so one score well over the official figure and one well under. ATTO uses compressible data by default and the controller firmware seems to prefer that to incompressible when it comes to Sequential reads but not writes.
