In our read-throughput test, we used both Thunderbolt 3 and USB 3.2 Gen 2 interfaces. Using the Thunderbolt 3 interface the drive peaked at 2,315MB/s, a fair way back from the official maximum of 2,700MB/s. It was the same story using the drive with the USB3.2 Gen 2 connection, the drive peaked at 931MB/s, some 119MB/s short of the official figure.
The peak write figure we saw from using the Thunderbolt 3 connection, 2,179MB/s, was much faster than the official 1,900MB/s. However, switching to the USB connection the drive's best test result of 898MB/s fell well short of that official rating.
