Patriot Viper VP4100 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD Review

128KB Sequential Read/Write Performance v QD.

Using our own Sequential benchmarks we just managed to top the official maximum read figure of 5,000MB/s, the review drive producing 5,042MB/s score. However, we couldn't get to the official write figure of 4,400MB/s, the review drive topping out at 4,320MB/s.

128KB Sequential Read Performance v QD Compared.

The drive's Sequential read performance improves as the depth deepens, until finally at a QD of 32, the drive tops the 5,000MB/s mark at 5,042MB/s, the fastest read speed for a consumer M.2 drive we've seen to date.

128KB Sequential Write Performance v QD Compared.

In contrast to the Sequential read performance, the Sequential write performance of the drive is the fastest we've seen for a consumer M.2 NVMe drive, across all the tested queue depths, by quite some margin.
