As with the 4K random read tests, we couldn't get anywhere near the official 800,000 IOPS official figure in our four threaded 4K random write tests. The fastest performance we saw from the drive was 272,358 IOPS at a QD of 32.

4K Random Write v QD Performance Compared

The best IOPS figure we saw from the drive in our 4 threaded tests, 272,358 IOPS came at a queue depth of 32. At the same QD, the previous generation Viper, the VPN100, using a PCIe Gen3 x4 interface was some 88,620 IOPS slower.
