Corsair MP700 PRO SE 4TB Review

We used CrystalDiskMark 8‘s custom settings to test the 4K random read performance of the drive through a range of queue depths. The setup for the tests is listed below.

Transfer Request Size: 4KB, Outstanding I/O: 1-32.

Using our four-threaded 4K random read tests, we couldn't get close to the official maximum of 1,700K IOPS. The best figure we saw was 535,355 IOPS (2,192MB/s) at the end of the test run at QD32.

4K Random Read v QD Performance compared.

At QD1 the drive sits towards the bottom of the table behind the original MP700 PRO. At QD2 it drops further down the table but at QD4 it stages a recovery and by QD32, the MP700 PRO SE is the fastest consumer Gen 5 drive we've seen to date for this test.
