We used CrystalDiskMark 8‘s custom settings to test the Sequential read and write performance of the drive through a range of queue depths. The setup for the tests is listed below.
128KB Sequential Read / Write.
Transfer Request Size: 128KB, Thread(s): 1, Outstanding I/O: 1-32.
The official maximum Sequential read figure for the drive is 7,000MB/s. We couldn't quite reach this figure, the best we saw was 6,957.90MB/s (QD32). The best test write result of 6,775MB/s (QD8) is some 225MB/s faster than the official maximum of 6,550MB/s.
128KB Sequential Read v QD performance compared.
At queue depths 1 to 4, the MP600 PRO trails behind the first generation MP600 but at a QD32 the MP600 PRO is much faster (1,933MB/s) than the first generation drive.
128KB Sequential Write v QD performance compared.
At QD1, the drive is second only to the Patriot Viper VP4300. At QDs 2 and 4, the MP600 PRO tops the charts but slips back at QD32.
