Corsair EX100U 2TB External SSD Review

The EX100U comes in the customary Corsair yellow and black finished box. On the front of the box is an image of the drive under which are the headline Sequential read and write speeds (up 1,600MB/s reads, up to 1,500MB/s writes). Next to these is the capacity of the drive. The rear of the box has a multilingual description of the drive under which is a systems requirements box which lists the OS supported by the drive (Windows 10 or later, PS4, PS5, Xbox One Xbox X/S and macOS Mojave 10.4 or later). There is also a small diagram displaying what's in the box.

Stylishly finished in silver-grey and black, the EX100U is tiny measuring just 79.37 X 36.65 X 11mm and weighing in at a mere 22g.

The USB port is cleverly protected by a rubber cap that pulls off but is retained by a small peg which should help keep it safe for a while.

Bundled in the box with the drive are USB-C to USB-C, and USB-C to USB-A cables.
