Western Digital launches the entry-level WD Blue SN570 PCIe 3.0 SSD

Western Digital is replacing the entry-level WD Blue SN550 PCIe 3.0 SSD with the new WD Blue SN570. Designed as an affordable solution for creators that want to speed up their system, the SN570 will be available with 250GB, 500GB and 1TB storage capacities.

Coming in an M.2-2280 form factor, the new WD Blue SN570 SSDs are DRAM-less, which helps bring costs down. Sequential read speeds are still rated up to 3,500MB/s and write speeds up to 3,000MB/s, depending on the storage capacity.

Endurance rates are also decent, offering 150TBW on the 250GB model, 300TBW on the 500GB model and 600TBW on the 1TB model. Regardless of the storage capacity, these SSDs can withstand 0.3 drive writes per day. To monitor the SSD, you may use Western Digital SSD Dashboard, which allows you to see the drive's health, available space, temperature and more.

All WD Blue SN570 drives are backed by a 5-year warranty. The 250GB is priced at £36.99, the 500GB model goes for £48.99, and the 1TB model costs £83.99. Each WD Blue SN570 comes with a one-month membership of Adobe Creative Cloud.
