Team Group partners with ASUS TUF Gaming Alliance to launch two new SSDs

Team Group is launching two new SSDs in partnership with the ASUS TUF Gaming Alliance. The T-Force Delta TUF Gaming Alliance RGB SSD and the T-Force Cardea II TUF Gaming Alliance M.2 SSD add TUF-themed aesthetic elements to the original SSD models, while delivering the same level of performance the drives are known for.

The T-Force Cardea II TUF Gaming Alliance M.2 SSD is the “first M.2 SSD certified by ASUS TUF Gaming Alliance”. Using Team Group T-Force's patented heatsink, the Cardea II TUF Gaming Alliance uses the PCIe 3.0 x4 interface, and NVMe 1.3 protocol, to reach sequential read/write speeds as high as 3400/3000 MB/s, and random read/write speeds of up to 180K/160K IOPS.

Available with 512GB and 1TB capacities, this SSD comes with multiple features to prolong its lifespan, such as TRIM, LDPC ECC, Global Wear Levelling, and a garbage collection function. The 512GB model is rated for 800 TBW, while the 1TB model ups that to 1665TBW. Both have an MTBF of 2,000,000 hours.

As for the T-Force Delta TUF Gaming Alliance RGB, as the name suggests the RGB lighting is a big feature of this drive, and it can be synchronised with your system's RGB lighting if you have a compatible ASUS motherboard using ASUS Aura Sync RGB software. As a 2.5in SATA III 6Gbps SSD, the T-Force Delta TUF Gaming Alliance RGB SSD delivers sequential read/write speeds of up to 560/510 MB/s and 4K random read/write speeds of up to 90/K/080K IOPS.

This drive will be available in 500GB and 1TB capacities. Just like the Cardea II TUF Gaming Alliance SSD, the Delta TUF Gaming Alliance RGB SSD use TRIM, LDPC ECC, Global Wear Levelling, and garbage collection function to prolong its “service life”. Both the 500GB and 1TB models have the same MTBF of 1,000,000 hours, but the TBW values differ, as the 500GB drive is rated for 120TBW, while the 1TB model ups this to 240TBW.

The T-Force Cardea II TUF Gaming Alliance M.2 SSD will be priced at $85 for the 512GB model, and $145 for the 1TB model, while the T-Force Delta TUF Gaming Alliance RGB SSD will be priced at $80 for the 500GB model and $120 for the 1TB model.
