SilverStone Strider Titanium ST70F-TI 700W Review

Silverstone are using a Ong Hua 120mm fan, Model number HA1225H12F-Z. This is a high grade Fluid Dynamic Bearing (FDB) fan designed for low noise emissions.

These fans not only tend to emit lower noise levels, but they are rated to last longer as well due to the lubrication of the bearing itself.

Enhance Electronics are the original OEM partner for these units and the build is excellent. Soldering quality is very good as well which is good to see. Due to the high efficiency of the unit there are only a couple of heatsinks scattered around the PCB.

Silverstone are rating this power supply at an ambient 40c, not 50c and this is directly related to the small dimensions. We can't see this having much, if any impact on the running of this 700 watt unit under most situations.

Silverstone are holding true to their design ethos and have worked with Enhance to ensure that all the capacitors in the unit are Japanese rated, both in primary and secondary stages. The main primary capacitor from Panasonic is 560uF, rated 105c – 450V. Full marks for the build and components used throughout.
