Thermaltake’s new SFX power supplies are ready for new-gen GPUs

Much like Seasonic, MSI and Silverstone, Thermaltake has also been early to the ATX 3.0 power supply party. Nvidia's new RTX 40 GPUs are the first to support the new power standard and the 12VHPWR connector. Alongside its own full-sized Toughpower ATX 3.0 units, Thermaltake is also launching a range of SFX ATX 3.0 power supplies as well.

If you're looking to build a smaller rig, but still want to be up to date with the latest PC power standard, then Thermaltake's Toughpower SFX line is worth a look. The new PSUs meet the ATX 3.0 standard, are PCIe Gen 5.0 ready and designed with new-gen graphics cards in mind. The new SFX PSUs will fit nicely in both ATX and ITX cases, with dimensions up to 125mm (W) x 63.5mm (H) x 126mm (D) for the 1000W model.

The 750W and 850W models are a little smaller. While the width and height remain the same, these lower wattage units have 100mm depth instead. As you would expect, these units are fully modular, so you can cut down on cable clutter. Thanks to the new standard, these PSUs are more efficient than ever too, with 70% efficiency at 2% load. Under the hood, you'll find Japanese capacitors, which are known to stand the test of time.

The Toughpower SFX Series PSUs also include smart features, including Smart Zero Fan technology, allowing the PSU to run passively while under 30% load. As your PC uses more power, the fan will start to spin to ensure adequate cooling. Finally, Thermaltake has also paid close attention to voltage regulation and ripple noise. From 0% to 100% load, ripple noise produced from 12V, 5V, and 3.3V are consistently under 30mV, which paves the way for a long lifespan.

The Thermaltake Toughpower SFX series will be available from mid-November, priced at €169.90 for the 750W model, €194.90 for the 850W version and €244.90 for the 1000W version.
