SilverStone has launched its new Triton Rx series of power supplies, available in 650W, 750W, and 850W models on their website. These units are non-modular, adhering to the ATX 3.1 standard and boasting Cybenetics Gold certification for power efficiency.
As Guru3D spotted, the Triton RX series distinguishes itself with a direct-cable design and embossed cables. It emphasises durability and sets a precedent for future ATX Gold-certified power supplies featuring direct outputs. Regarding form factor, the Triton RX series adheres to the standard ATX dimensions, ensuring compatibility with various systems.
These PSUs are designed to handle demanding components, support up to a 200% power excursion, and feature a dedicated 12V-2×6 connector configuration for high-performance graphics cards. A 120mm ICB bearing fan handles cooling, maintaining noise levels as low as 18 dB(A).
Reliability is further enhanced by using Japanese electrolytic capacitors in the main circuit, allowing the unit to operate effectively in ambient temperatures up to 40 °C. The design incorporates six protection mechanisms: over-current, overload, over-voltage, short-circuit, low voltage, and over-temperature, ensuring the safety and stability of your system. The Silverstone Triton RX PSUs will be available in 650W, 750W and 850W models.

KitGuru says: Although pricing is unknown, the spec sheet suggests the Triton RX PSUs shouldn't be too expensive. As such, we believe it could be a well-rounded solution for those building an entry-level/mid-range system on a tighter budget but want a more efficient PSU than your typical Bronze-rated PSU.
