Phanteks unveils compact and affordable AMP GH PSUs

Phanteks has introduced the AMP GH series of power supplies, designed to meet ATX 3.1 and PCIe Gen 5.1 standards. Featuring the latest 12V-2×6 power connectors, these power supplies are fully compatible with current and next-generation graphics cards.

The AMP GH range is available in three wattage variations. Choose from 1000W, 850W, and 750W models, all available in black or white. The 1000W units have an 80 Plus Platinum efficiency rating, while the 850W and 750W models feature an 80 Plus Gold certification. With fully modular cabling, all versions feature 600W-capable 12V-2×6 connectors.

Featuring a single +12V rail design, active PFC, and DC-to-DC switching, the Phanteks AMP GH also meets most standard electrical safety requirements. A 120mm fan with hydraulic bearings is included to ensure efficient cooling. Equipped with a semi-passive mode, the PSU can switch off the fan when the load decreases below a specific threshold, provided the temperature allows. Moreover, the compact 140mm length of the PSU body means you can mount it in virtually any case that supports ATX PSUs.

Overclockers UK currently offers the 1000W model for £129 (black) to £139 (white), the 850W model for £104 (black) to £114 (white), and the 750W model for £85 (black) to £95 (white). All models have a limited 8-year warranty.

KitGuru says: PC builders planning a new system in a compact case should take a look at the new AMP GH PSUs. Not only are they relatively affordable, but their compact design gives you more space to adjust cabling.
