FSP’s 2024 roadmap includes a 2500W power supply

FSP has revealed its product lineup for 2024, which includes a 2500W power supply. The Cannon Pro 2500W boasts 80 Plus Platinum certification, ATX 3.1 standard standards, and an updated PCIe Gen5 connection.

Geeknetic shared the details about the company's 2024 product lineup, where the highlight was the upcoming Cannon Pro 2500W power supply. Featuring three PCIe 6+2-pin and four PCIe 12V-26 connectors, this PSU is theoretically able to power up to four RTX 4090 cards. However, if you try to do that, you won't have much free power left for other components. The new FSP power supply is fully modular, providing configuration versatility even with only one RTX 40 card. It should also be compatible with next-generation RTX 50 cards, even if they require double the power.

Besides the 2500W PSU, FSP revealed other less powerful units under various series. Below the Cannon series, we have the Mega series (TI, PM, GM), followed by the Dagger series (PM), the Advan series (PM; GM, BD+, BD), and lastly, the Vita (GM, GD, BD). Moreover, the Hydro PTM Pro will get 1350W and 1650W variants, and the Hydro G Pro units will be available with up to 1200W (previously up to 1000W).

Moving on to the PC cases, the company is planning various new models. Of all, the first to catch our interest was the CST360, a compact mATX case with a front mesh and side tempered glass panels. Another interesting-looking one is the CMT380A, which is pretty much FSP's take on the Lian Li O11 Mini design. Then, there's also the CMT580, a mid-tower version of the O11 Mini Air (or O11 Evo with front mesh). Lastly, there's the new CUT593 E-ATX PC case series with swappable front panels and a focus on cable management.

KitGuru says: A 2500W PSU won't make sense for a lot of gamers, but there are certainly some use cases for one, particularly if you want to run multiple RTX 4090s.
