Enermax unveils ‘PlatiGemini’ ATX 3.1 power supply

Enermax has recently launched its latest power supply, the PlatiGemini 1200W. This PSU is the world's first to support Intel ATX 3.1 and ATX12VO standards while maintaining an 80Plus Platinum certification.

As with any ATX12VO-compliant PSU, the PlatiGemini doesn't have 3.3V and 5V lines, reducing energy conversion losses. It offers adaptability for present and future technical needs by supporting both 24-pin mainstream motherboards and 10-pin energy-saving 12VO motherboards. As such, this power supply provides just 12V to the system components, resulting in less energy loss and higher overall efficiency.

The PlatiGemini also supports PCIe 5.1 and Intel ATX 3.1 standards, can withstand power surges of up to 235%, and has a native 600W 12V-12×6 cable, making it capable of delivering enough power for high-end graphics cards. The PSU is equipped with Japanese capacitors, and its power efficiency exceeds the 80Plus Platinum certification requirements. It achieves up to 94% efficiency under average loads and 74% efficiency under 2% loads.

The PlatiGemini has a 135mm dual-ball bearing fan, and its built-in semi-fanless technology allows the fan to stay turned off until it hits 60% working load or when over-temperature protection kicks in. Additionally, the PlatiGemini comes with Enermax's Dust-free Rotation (D.F.R.) self-cleaning technology, which expels dust via an immediate reversing fan spin when the system is turned on.

The PlatiGemini's power cables are mesh-sleeved, improving cable routing and management. Currently, this PSU is only available with 1200W capacity. The Enermax PlatiGemini power supply is now available in the US for $249.99.
