Corsair launches new ATX 3.1 RMx PSUs with native ATX 12V-2×6 connectors

Corsair has announced that it will upgrade its RMx power supply series with new features and make it ATX 3.1 compliant. The revamped series, available in 750W, 850W, and 1000W variants, offers Gold-certified efficiency and has earned an A+ noise certification from Cybenetics.

Corsair's new RMx series uses a PWM-controlled 140mm FDB fan, incorporating a half-dome construction to reduce surface friction, resulting in quieter operation and an extended lifespan. Moreover, the fan's specially designed curve enables fanless operation at low loads and minimal noise as power demand increases. Users also have the option to manually adjust the fan speed using the knob at the rear of the unit.

In terms of design, the RMx series offers slim and flexible cables to make their management more effortless. The new PSUs now include 12V-2×6 cables with low-profile combs for a neat aesthetic. The redesigned PSU enclosure features a stamped, low-restriction fan grill and an improved connection architecture with enhanced labelling for easy installation.

The new RMx series is compatible with Corsair Premium Individually Sleeved Type 4 PSU cables and ARGB PSU cable strips for users looking to add a touch of customisation. With dimensions of 150mm x 86mm x 160mm, each RMx power supply unit comes with a selection of cables and connections tailored to each model, catering to diverse user requirements. The new RMx PSUs are now available with 750W for £134.99, 850W for £147.99, and 1000W for £179.99.

KitGuru says: Despite the various improvements the new models bring, it's nice to see Corsair isn't increasing their pricing.
