NZXT unveils new Z690 N7 and N5 motherboards

NZXT has been slowly expanding its N7 motherboard line-up over the years. Now, following on from the launch of Intel 12th Gen processors and the Z690 chipset, NZXT is back with new Z690 N7 and N5 motherboards.

This week, NZXT is unveiling its new N7 and N5 motherboards, both sporting the Z690 chipset and support for Intel's new 12th Gen Alder Lake processors, as well as the latest technologies, like PCIe 5.0, Bluetooth 5.2, and DDR5 memory.

The NZXT Z690 N7 is the more expensive model, including the full PCB cover that builders have come to really appreciate. The N5 version has most of the same features as the N7, but drops the PCB armour to lower the price. There are a couple of other differences between the two, including the number of power phases, and M.2 SSD slots.

NZXT Z690 N7 features:

  • Designed with Intel Z690 Chipset
  • Compatible with Intel 12th Generation Core i9, Core i7, and Core i5 processors
  • 12+1 DrMOS Power Phase Design and 6 layer PCBs
  • Intel Wi-Fi 6E wireless connectivity and Bluetooth V5.2
  • Three M.2 connectors for storage devices
  • Supports memory overclocking speeds of up to 5000MHz and XMP
  • 8-channel high-definition audio

NZXT Z690 N5 features:
