ASRock expands Z390 motherboard lineup with Steel Legend and Phantom Gaming 4S

ASRock has expanded its motherboard range over the last month with two new additions based on Intel’s Z390 chipset. The Z390 Phantom Gaming 4S takes aim at the mainstream gaming crowd and serves as an upgrade over the original Phantom Gaming 4. Meanwhile, the Steel Legend brings this familiar design to Z390 for the first time.

The ASRock Z390 Phantom Gaming 4S supports both Intel 9th Gen and 8th Gen processors, along with DDR4 RAM speeds of 4300MHz via overclocking. It comes with two PCIe x16 slots with support for AMD CrossFire multi-GPU setups. You also get room for an M.2 SSD, built-in audio with support for 7.1 surround sound, four rear USB ports, connectors for an additional four front panel USB ports and finally, ASRock Polychrome RGB.

The ASRock Z390 Steel Legend offers many of the same core features, although it does come with an additional M.2 SSD slot, higher grade audio caps and a revamped heatsink design across the motherboard. The USB layout is also a bit different, with two USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports at the rear, accompanied by two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports.

Both of these new motherboards should start popping up at retail soon, although worldwide availability is not ensured. We will update when we have details on pricing.

KitGuru Says: We have Computex coming up shortly, so we are expecting to see a lot of new motherboards in the coming weeks. Are any of you planning to build a new PC this year?
