Performance in system-related benchmarks shows each board to be similarly satisfactory. The Sandra memory bandwidth benchmark favours Asus' Maximus VII Hero thanks to the board's tendency to set a cache frequency of 4.4GHz, as opposed to Gigabyte's 4.0GHz.
