MSI launches the X870E Godlike motherboard for a whopping £1200

MSI's flagship X870E Godlike motherboard has landed, and it offers a true flagship feature set—if you can stomach the eye-watering £1200 price tag. This motherboard is built for no-compromise Ryzen 9000 systems, bringing the best money can buy.

The E-ATX MSI X870E Godlike boasts a 10-layer PCB and a monstrous 24+2+1 power phase design ready to tame even the most power-intensive Ryzen 9000 CPUs. With support for DDR5 memory speeds exceeding 9000 MT/s, MSI is one of the few AMD-based motherboards to support such memory speeds.

Expansion options are plentiful, with dual PCIe 5.0 slots (x16 and x8) wired directly to the CPU, plus a PCIe 4.0 x4 slot connected to the chipset. Storage enthusiasts will drool over the 5x M.2 slots: two PCIe 5.0 and three PCIe 4.0. If that isn't enough, you can add two more M.2 drives using the included M.2 Xpander-Z Slider Gen5 card.

As expected, connectivity is the best you can get. We're talking Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and dual Ethernet ports (10 Gb/s and 5 Gb/s). MSI's EZ DIY features, with magnetic M.2 shields and toolless PCIe slots, make building a breeze, but the pièce de résistance is the 3.99-inch LCD. This display provides real-time system monitoring, BIOS updates, troubleshooting tools, music visuals, and media playback.

If you're building a top-tier Ryzen 9000 system and money is no object, the MSI MEG X870E Godlike is now available to pre-order for £1199.90/$1,099.99/€1,329.00.
