EVGA introduces Z690 Classified, its first 600-series motherboard

While most motherboard vendors have already launched multiple Z690 motherboards, EVGA has only just joined the party. Named the Z690 Classified, EVGA's motherboard is one of a kind, featuring fans built into the VRM heatsink.

The Z690 Classified may be the only 600-series motherboard from EVGA, but it sure packs quite a set of features. Looking at its 19-phase digital VRM design cooled by a full-cover heatsink and two small fans below the I/O shield, it's clear that EVGA designed this board for the most demanding enthusiasts.

Below the massive M.2 full-cover metal heatsink, there are 3x PCIe M.2 slots. In addition, you can find 4x DDR5 DIMM slots (max. 128GB), 2x ARGB/RGB headers, pump headers, metal-reinforced PCIe slots, and a USB BIOS update port on the motherboard. There are also 2x 2.5Gbps RJ45 ports, support for Wi-Fi 6E/Bluetooth 5.2 (with dedicated antennas), and multiple USB options.

Like many other Z690 motherboards, this motherboard supports PCIe 5.0, DDR5 memory at up to 6400MHz and Intel's 12th Gen Core processors. The board is now available on the EVGA website for $629.99. Currently, it's not available in the UK/European market, but hopefully it makes its way over the pond sooner rather than later.

KitGuru says: Are you planning on upgrading to Alder Lake soon? Would you consider the EVGA Z690 Classified for your system?
