Asus officially unveils its A520 motherboard lineup

With the launch of the AMD A520 platform, Asus has officially announced its A520 motherboard lineup. This lineup has been originally hinted back in May, but there are some absent models. The new details shared by Asus gives us a clear understanding of what each of these motherboards is capable of and how they stand against the B550 and X570 solutions.

Featuring PCIe 3.0, the A520 motherboards offers you the essential suite of features for a system. The A520 motherboards support the current-gen of AMD Ryzen CPUs and APUs, but it will also “support future AMD Ryzen Zen 3 architecture CPUs and APUs”. The first five A520 motherboards from Asus are the TUF Gaming A520M-Plus, the Prime A520M-A, the Prime A520M-E, the Prime A520M-K, and the Pro A520M-C/CSM.

All the Asus A520 motherboards have a Micro ATX form factor. With a power design of up to 8 phases (4+4), an HDMI 2.1 output, a PCIe Gen3 x16 slot, and an M.2 2280 slot, the A520 motherboards allow you to build a budget-system with all the basic features that you need and then some. The TUF Gaming A520M-Plus stands out as the most expensive option probably because of its superior audio codec, RGB header, Aura Sync support, USB-A 3.2 Gen2 port (rear), and an M.2 E key slot for a wireless module.

Each of these motherboards come with its typical suite of internal and external USB ports, CPU and CHA fan headers (up to 2x), and additional video outputs including DVI-D and D-Sub.

These Asus A520 motherboards are available now, starting at £57.90 for the Prime A520M-K, £62.90 for the Prime A520M-E, £64.90 for the Prime A520M-A, £64.90 for the Pro A520M-C/CSM, and £69.90 for the TUF Gaming A520M-Plus.
