ASRock launches the Taichi Lite motherboards

ASRock has introduced new Taichi Lite motherboards. The series currently consists of two models, one based on the Z790 Taichi and the other on the B650E Taichi. While retaining the original specifications and features, the Taichi Lite series offers a simpler and less RGB-intensive exterior design, prioritising functionality and performance over looks with a discount over the original models.

Motherboards, especially in the high-end segment, have become increasingly luxurious with lavish designs and fancy RGB effects, driving motherboard prices up as production costs increase. However, with the Taichi Lite series, ASRock hopes to bring back affordable flagship motherboards packed with top features, making them accessible to a wider audience.

Both the Z790 and B650E Taichi Lite motherboards are equipped with 24-phase VRMs, capable of delivering enough power to any compatible CPU you throw at them. They also offer other features such as PCIe 5.0 support for graphics cards and M.2 SSDs, USB 4, and a built-in ESS SABRE9218 DAC.

The Z790 Taichi Lite motherboard stands out with its 60W PD 3.0 fast charging support to quickly recharge smartphones, tablets, and laptops while they are at their PC, eliminating the need for an expensive PD charger. Moreover, there's also support for Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. The two motherboards will be available soon. The ASRock Z790 Taichi Lite will cost $379, $100 less than the Z790 Taichi's MSRP, while the B650E Taichi Lite will cost $299, $69 less than the B650E Taichi's MSRP.
