ASRock designed a Sonic-themed Z790 motherboard

Fans of Sonic the Hedgehog planning to build a system with a 13th Gen Core chip should take a look at ASRock's new motherboard. Named Z790 PG Sonic, the new motherboard is covered in Sonic-themed decals, as the same implies.

Based on the ASRock Z790 Phantom Gaming Riptide motherboard, the Z790 PG Sonic spotted by @momomo_us is a redesigned version of the same motherboard. The colour scheme is entirely different, instead of black and red colours, the PG Sonic adds a dash of blue, black and silver to the mix. Looking at the board, you'll also see Sonic's logo over the chipset heatsink, a picture of Sonic running on the back of the board, and finally, the famous golden ring can also be spotted on one of the heatsinks.

As for the specs, this ATX board packs two x16 PCIe slots, four DDR5 memory channels supporting DDR5-6800 memory, and a PCIe 5.0 x4 interface for M.2 SSDs. Moreover, it has a 2.5GbE LAN port, USB-C 3.2 Gen2 connectivity, Polychrome RGB Sync and Nahimic Audio. Lastly, its VRM design consists of a 14+1+1 phase configuration.

ASRock hasn't listed the motherboard on its site yet, but it shouldn't take long before that happens. Considering the motherboard results from a partnership, there's a chance it's a limited edition.
