G.Skill unveils new Zeta R5 memory for new Xeon powered workstations

Today G.Skill is debuting a brand new line of memory kits. The new G.Skill Zeta R5 series is unique as rather than being built for extreme performance gaming systems, these new R-DIMM kits are built for workstations.

G.Skill Zeta DDR5 R-DIMM memory is designed for use with the latest Intel Xeon W-2400X and W-3400X series processors on W790 chipset motherboards with quad-channel and octo-channel memory support.

Kits will be available with up to 256GB total memory capacity and up to 6400MT/s speeds and CL32 latency. As an example of performance, G.Skill paired its 128GB Zeta R5 kit with an Asus Pro WS W790-E Sage SE motherboard in an 8-channel configuration with an Intel Xeon W9-3495X processor. In this setup, memory bandwidth reached 303GB/s read, 227GB/s write, and 257GB/s copy speed in the AIDA64 memory bandwidth benchmark.

We don't have prices just yet, but you'll be able to pick up one of these new memory kits starting in March 2023.
