G.Skill unveils new 48GB 8200MHz and 96GB 6800MHz DDR5 RAM kits

G.Skill has been at the forefront of the DDR5 memory market for a while now, consistently offering some of the fastest kits. Today, the company is introducing two more to its roster, the new DDR5-8200 48GB kit and the DDR5-6800 96GB kit.

Using 24GB and 48GB capacity modules, G.Skill can now offer new kits with different capacities. The DDR5-8200 kit has two 24GB DDR5 memory sticks, with CL40 latency and maximum 8200MHz speeds when using the right combination of hardware. For validation, G.Skill tested this memory on a system featuring an ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 Apex motherboard and an Intel Core i9-13900K processor.

If you want to sacrifice some speed for some extra RAM capacity, then there is also a 96GB kit available, packing two 48GB DDR5 memory sticks with CL34 latency and a maximum speed of 6800MHz. This kit was validated using an ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 Hero motherboard and an Intel Core i9-13900K.

Both kits are made with Intel XMP 3.0 in mind, so you'll want to use this in an Intel rig rather than an AMD one to achieve max speeds. There are other DDR5 memory kits available built with AMD EXPO in mind, which is AMD's alternative to XMP for high-speed memory.
