G.Skill unveils 5GHz memory kit alongside Z490 and Intel 10th Gen CPUs

G.Skill is back and continuing to do what it does best- pushing consumer memory to its limits. This time around, G.Skill is showing off all new DDR4-5000MHz  for 8GB and 16GB, as well as DDR-4400 for 32GB modules.

Coinciding with the launch of Intel's 10th Gen desktop processors and the Z490 chipset, G.Skill is introducing more high-capacity RAM kits to the market. In the latest 64GB kit, G.Skill has managed to guarantee speeds of 4400MHz with CL19-26-26-46 timings, validated and stress tested on an ASUS ROG Maximus XII FORMULA motherboard paired with an Intel Core i7-10700K. The same kit was also tested using an ROG Maximus XII Apex and a Core i9-10900K.

There is also a low-latency 32GB version of this kit running at 4400MHz, with CL17-18-18-38 timings. This version was validated using an ROG Maximus XII Extreme paired with an Intel Core i9-10900K.

Finally, we get to the 5GHz RAM. DDR4-5000 is a major frequency milestone and G.Skill has managed to reach it successfully using 8GBx2 capacity across several Z490 motherboards, each running a 10th Gen Core i9. The tested motherboards include the ASUS ROG Maximus XII APEX, ASRock Z490 Aqua and the MSI MEG Z490 GODLIKE.
