TeamGroup T-Force Delta RGB 32GB 6400MHz Review

When reviewing a high-speed set of memory, performance often comes in as the most important metric. Thankfully for TeamGroup, strong performance is clearly associated with the T-Force Delta RGB 6400MHz CL40 kit.

Even in game-based situations such as Shadow of the Tomb Raider and 3DMark Time Spy, this high-frequency set does well. And the competition versus G.SKILL’s 6000MHz kit in our charts is apt, as there isn’t too much pricing difference between these sets. So, that’s another good point for TeamGroup’s offering.

Styling is very good in my opinion; I really like the white aesthetic of the metal heatspreaders and I think this is delivered well, particularly with the small touches of contrast from the black PCB. The RGB lighting bar is good to my eyes – I was happy with the brightness levels, the granularity of the colours was positive, and control through motherboard vendor software remain my preference.

One area of styling that’s a little questionable is the heatspreader angles because these gradients increase peak module height thus increasing the likelihood of CPU cooler interference. But I guess that’s a compromise that has been chosen in search of superior aesthetics.

Clearly the biggest issue with the TeamGroup T-Force Delta RGB 6400MHz kit of memory is its price. At £450 current availability in the UK, this is a ludicrous price point for a 32GB set of DDR5. TeamGroup really is expecting buyers to pay a hefty premium to get a 6.4GHz rated clock versus even 6000 or 6200MHz competing kits. In the US, the availability pricing of $350 on Amazon is much more palatable and competitive.

So, I think we can summarise this nicely by saying that the TeamGroup T-Force Delta RGB 32GB 6400MHz CL40 kit of memory is a very alluring product that delivers strong performance. The aesthetics are great too, and I personally like the overall design which I think will appeal to white component aficionados.

The pricing, however, is extremely high in the UK currently. So, you’ll really have to place significant value on the rated 6400MHz XMP frequency to make this kit’s £450 wallet punch justifiable.

You can find the kit, as reviewed, for £449.99 from Overclockers UK HERE.

Pros:

  • Strong performance out of the box with a 6400MHz frequency
  • XMP timings are reasonable for the lofty clock speed
  • Good styling, especially if you’re a fan of white memory
  • Strong RGB LED light implementation
  • Reasonable module height

Cons:

  • Very expensive in the UK because of the 6400MHz clock speed
  • Strong performance, but perhaps difficult to justify versus cheaper 6000/6200MHz kits

KitGuru says: A smart design and stellar performance, the TeamGroup T-Force Delta RGB 32GB kit of memory is highly appealing if you’re willing to swallow the 6400MHz DDR5 tax in the UK market.
