G.Skill Ripjaws4 2400MHz 32GB DDR4 Memory Kit Review

The G.Skill Ripjaws4 2400MHz 32GB memory kit is a well-balanced, high-capacity set of DDR4 that does not break the bank.

Performance from the 2400MHz DRAM frequency was complemented by G.Skill’s use of 15-15-15-35-2T timings. A 1.20V DRAM voltage doesn’t cause any longevity or heat concerns, either. Needless to say, the 2400MHz kit cannot keep pace with 3000MHz alternatives, but it is also in a completely different price category to those offerings.

Four 8GB DIMMs, giving the kit’s 32GB capacity, make the set a smart purchase for users with memory-intensive workloads. If you are editing high-resolution video content, working with large engineering models, or simply game on your work system, 32GB of DDR4 is the logical step up when 16GB just doesn’t cut it.

Attractive styling and a choice of colours allow the Ripjaws4 kit to be matched with other system components. I personally rate the black-coloured offering as my favourite design, although the red and blue alternatives are available to suit your system’s colour scheme.

Available from around £290, if you shop around, G.Skill’s Ripjaws4 2400MHz 32GB memory kit is a good-looking set of no-nonsense memory that brings the potential for frequency gains with it.

Pros:

  • Towards the lower-end of 32GB DDR4 pricing.
  • Attractive styling, with a choice of colours.
  • Sensible heatspreader design.
  • Potential for solid overclocking gains.

Cons:

  • Close pricing proximity to 2666MHz kits.

KitGuru says: A smart-looking, well-balanced 32GB set of DDR4 that does exactly what it says on the label.

Sony’s live-service heist shooter Fairgame$ reportedly pushed to 2026

As part of Sony’s live-service push from a couple years ago, the console maker announced Fairgame$ back in May of 2023: a “fresh, modern take on the heist genre”. While we did not get any concrete release window at the time, one leaker has now claimed that the game has been pushed from its internal release of 2025 to some time next year.

This kit uses Samsung ICs as evidenced by the “3500” in the serial numbers. Hynix would be “3400” and Micron “3300” for G.Skill DDR4. Probably the initial batches were all Hynix but these days it seems for all the RAM vendors that Hynix ICs are being reserved for high end kits with specs that only Hynix can pass (3000MHz 15-15-15, 3200MHz 16-16-16 etc).

  2. Thanks for that information, Calvin. Where did you find the info?
