Overclocker sets new world record with 12,527 MT/s DDR5 RAM

Kingston and MSI recently set a remarkable benchmark by achieving an impressive 12,196 MT/s a few days ago. Now, that record has been eclipsed thanks to a collaboration between ASRock and V-Color, who have pushed the limits even further. First, it pushed the new DDR5 frequency record to 12,264 MT/s. A day later, this record increased to 12,350 MT/s. As if that wasn't enough, the record was broken once again, this time setting at 12,527 MT/s.

About ten days after the DDR5-12196 record, professional overclocker AKM was able to clock a V-Color memory module to DDR5-12264. However, there was still room to push it beyond that, as another overclocker, saltycroissant, was able to squeeze a few extra MT/s and set the new record at DDR5-12350. Today, the record was broken once again, as AKM pushed it to DDR5-12527.

The new frequency record was accomplished with V-Color Manta Xfinity DDR5 memory on a two-DIMM-slot ASRock Z890 OC Formula. This configuration used a single 24 GB UDIMM memory stick running at CL52, paired with a quad-core (2x P-cores + 2x E-cores) setup from the Core Ultra 9 285K CPU running at below stock clock speeds. As with most extreme overclocking procedures, liquid nitrogen was used to cool the memory.
