Adata planning to launch DDR5-7400 memory in Q3 2021

The beginning of the DDR5 era is just before us. ADATA has just announced plans to launch its first DDR5 modules in Q3 2021. The modules will come with up to 32GB capacities each and clocked at 7,400MHz, but Adata claims they can be overclocked up to 12,600MHz.

The new Adata XPG DDR5 memory modules will be part of the Caster series. The modules will be available with 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB capacities, and speeds range from 6,000MHz, up to 7,400MHz.

To ensure the system's stability and discover the overclocking potential of these modules, Adata has been working closely with multiple motherboard vendors such as Asus, Gigabyte, MSI, and ASRock.

The XPG Caster series of memory will be available in RGB and non-RGB variants. The heatsink of these modules has an industrial design with straight lines forming geometry figures and comes with a grey and black theme that should fit most systems.

Like most other DDR5 modules known to date, the XPG Caster will operate at 1.1V and feature PMIC (Power Management Integrated Circuit) for better efficiency and ECC (Error Correcting Code) for additional stability.

KitGuru says: Just imagine what professional overclockers will be able to do once these modules reach their hands. A 15,000MHz speed shouldn't be that far off from what they'll accomplish.
