To overclock today we use the latest version of Sapphire own software, TriXX.

We increased the voltage further and pushed the card to 1,223mhz – a 13.2% manual increase on the core clock speed. The memory maxed out at around 1,550mhz – a 10% increase.

The manual tweaked speeds translate into another 800 points in 3DMark 11 – pushing the final score from 16,407 points to 17,206 points.

  2. Sapphire focus a lot on the VRM’s – which many AMD partners DON”T. Glad to see you pointing it out in this review

  3. The Sapphire 290 is the better value card, its only 6 phase, not 10, but it overclocks well and saves you £130. enough to get a good new power supply

  4. I prefer their blue finish, to the orange. its very sexy. I still have a Sapphire AIW card, thats how well they are built 😉

  5. Not much of an AMD fan but that card looks sexy.
