Sapphire HD7790 OC Review

Heaven Benchmark is a DirectX 11 GPU benchmark based on advanced Unigine engine from Unigine Corp. It reveals the enchanting magic of floating islands with a tiny village hidden in the cloudy skies. Interactive mode provides emerging experience of exploring the intricate world of steampunk.

We use the following settings: 1920×1080 resolution. Anti Aliasing off. Anisotrophy 4, Tessellation normal. Shaders High. Stereo 3D disabled. API: Direct X 11.

The XFX HD7850 claims top spot, by a noticeable margin. The Sapphire HD7790 OC slots in behind, averaging almost 40 frames per second. The Sparkle GTX650 Ti Dragon Series outperforms the XFX HD7770 Core by 4 frames per second.

  2. Good looking card from Sapphire, not so sure of the range however, pricing looks off.

  3. HD7850 is the best of the bunch, they used to £180, now you can get one for under £130.

  4. Good review. looks like a good buy if they replaced the HD7770 with this one at the same £100 price. Can’t see this card online, interested to see how much of a premium the OC and cooler will cause.

    Unless AMD force up the price of the HD7850 to sell HD7790 this wont work. people will get pissed too. HD7850 at under £140 rocks.
