Sapphire HD7730 2GB GDDR3 and 1GB GDDR5 Review

Aliens V Predator has proved to be a big seller since the release and Sega have taken the franchise into new territory after taking it from Sierra. AVP is a Direct X 11 supported title and delivers not only advanced shadow rendering but high quality tessellation for the cards on test today.

To test the cards we used a 1280×720 and 1920×1080 resolution with DX11, Texture Quality Very High, MSAA Samples 1, 16 af, ambient occulsion on, shadow complexity high, motion blur on.

The Sapphire HD7730 GDDR5 scores a little higher than the GDDR3 version, averaging 40 frames per second, against 37 frames per second. The Sparkle GTX650Ti gets the top performance spot in the chart, outperforming the HD7730 GDDR5 cards in Crossfire.

  1. Not bad really considering the price. ideal for a low power system with a weak power supply too as there are no demands placed on it.

  2. You know, for that low performance, you might as well get an APU at that budget range. A10-6800K is $130 or so at this time, whereas this $60 + a CPU will be well over that.

  3. The integrated graphics of an APU won’t be as powerful as a HD7730.
