Club3D HD7970 RoyalAce Graphics Card Review

The tests were performed in a controlled air conditioned room with temperatures maintained at a constant 24c – a comfortable environment for the majority of people reading this.

Idle temperatures were measured after sitting at the desktop for 30 minutes. Load measurements were acquired by playing Crysis Warhead for 30 minutes and measuring the peak temperature. We also have included Furmark results, recording maximum temperatures throughout a 30 minute stress test. All fan settings were left on automatic.

The Club3D HD7970 RoyalAce cooler is actually an extremely good design, performing at the highest level. It does deliver slightly better results than the IceQ X2 cooler when gaming, however the Club3D fan profile is slightly more aggressive under real world circumstances, with a more prominent roll off when hit with the Furmark synthetic stress test.

  2. all i can say is…

    A-W-E-S-O-M-E!

  3. I agree, some of the coolers are stupid now. 3 slots, and extending 5 cm’s past the PCB, meaning they wont fit into some cases when they should !

Good review Z, like this card a lot. How is their warranty?
