Battlefield 4 (also known as BF4) is a first-person shooter video game developed by EA Digital Illusions CE (DICE) and published by Electronic Arts. The game is a sequel to 2011's Battlefield 3. Battlefield 4 is built on the new Frostbite 3 engine. The new Frostbite engine enables more realistic environments with higher resolution textures and particle effects. A new “networked water” system is also being introduced, allowing all players in the game to see the same wave at the same time.Tessellation has also been overhauled.

The R9 290 and R9 290X score very highly in this game, outperforming the reference Nvidia GTX Titan by a single frame per second. The GTX780 Lightning scores the same at Ultra HD 4K as the R9 290.

Please, get rid of Furmark. It’s meant to stress GPUs at the max temperature before they are permanentely damaged. Nvidia drivers detect when Furmark is running and throttle their cards, so these results are biased. Measure real world power comsumption and temperature from games that are driven by different types of workloads – Rome: Total War 2, L4D 2, Battlefield 4 and GTA.
Hi Bob, it has never damaged any GPU in the years we have used it. and we only use it to supplement the temperatures from testing games.
I got AMD Radeon R9 290.. and it works great.. All games max graphics.. 😀 Thanks much
