Nvidia seemingly reveals RTX 4070 Ti specs

Nvidia appeared to confirm the RTX 4070 Ti earlier this week through an update to its Omniverse system requirements, which now lists the card as the recommended GPU. Now, another update to the Nvidia website has revealed key specifications.

As spotted by momomo_us on Twitter, Nvidia has updated its website with details on the RTX 4070 Ti, revealing a CUDA count of 7680, a boost clock speed of 2.61GHz and 12GB of GDDR6X memory. These specs do indeed match the cancelled RTX 4080 12GB, adding weight to rumours that the GPU has been rebranded as an x70 series GPU.

At the time of writing, the details shown in the tweet below have been scrubbed from Nvidia's website, but screenshots show all the key details:

While this is something that could be faked, this particular leaker has a pretty decent track record.

Currently, it is expected that Nvidia will launch the RTX 4070 Ti at CES 2023, alongside the first RTX 40 GPUs for laptops and perhaps a few other surprises.

While the RTX 4080 12GB was going to launch at $899, it is rumoured that Nvidia has revised the price to $799. We'll find out if that's true in just a few days' time when Nvidia holds its CES keynote.

KitGuru Says: AMD is providing tough competition at the under $1000 price point with its new RX 7900 series GPUs. With that in mind, it'll be interesting to see how well the 4070 Ti is received at the $799 or $899 mark.
