Nvidia App launches to unify GeForce Experience and old-school Nvidia Control Panel

Update: The Nvidia App is now out of beta and can be downloaded – HERE.

For years now, Nvidia has had a two-pronged approach for its drivers, offering users the GeForce Experience app, alongside the more traditional Nvidia Control Panel. Now, the two are officially combining into the Nvidia App.

The new Nvidia App is now out in beta and is the first step towards unifying the Control Panel and GeForce Experience applications, with a more modern UI. As with the GeForce Experience, the Nvidia App will allow users to quickly find new driver updates and install them, as well as a unified GPU Control Centre, which you can use to fine tune game and driver settings in one place.

The app also features a redesigned in-game overlay, which you can utilise while in-game to quickly access recording tools, performance monitoring and game enhancing filters, including some new AI-powered filters for GeForce RTX GPUs, including a new HDR filter to simulate the effect on SDR displays.

This initial beta release incorporates many of the top features from both the Control Panel and GeForce Experience. An optional Nvidia account login can be used to claim promotional bundles and rewards.

This all comes alongside a new GeForce Game Ready Driver, which includes new optimisations for Granblue Fantasy: Relink, Nightingale, Pacific Drive as well as Skull and Bones.

KitGuru Says: Getting all of the settings in one place will be more convenient, as long as functionality from the old Control Panel isn't lost along the way. Will you be updating to the new Nvidia App?
