AMD’s latest driver optimises for The Evil Within 2 and Shadow of War

Hot on the heels of Nvidia’s own driver launch, AMD has begun rolling out a new version of its Crimson ReLive driver, arming Radeon GPU owners with optimisations for Middle-Earth: Shadow of War and The Evil Within 2.

With the Crimson ReLive driver version 17.10.01, Radeon graphics card users should see improved performance in Shadow of War, which launched yesterday, and The Evil Within 2, which comes out on Friday. The driver also comes with a Radeon Chill profile for both games, allowing you to lower temperatures and power usage by setting a specific frame rate target within the driver.

This particular update only comes with two main bug fixes, one addresses shadow flickering in Dirt4 while another fixes bezel compensation in Eyefinity.

Known issues include corruption in Forza 7 with HDR enabled, unstable RadeonWattMan profiles not restoring after a system hang and GPU scaling failing in some DX11 applications.
