Acer has been building up its position in the custom graphics card market for a few years now. This week, Acer is introducing a new range of BiFrost and Nitro series cards for AMD's new-generation RX 9000 GPUs.
There are four Acer RX 9000 series graphics cards hitting the market – a BiFrost Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070, as well as a Nitro version of the RX 9070 XT and RX 9070. AMD is expected to introduce cheaper RX 9060 GPUs later in the year too, so we'll no doubt see a couple more custom Acer graphics cards in the months ahead.
The latest Predator BiFrost and Acer Nitro Radeon RX 9070 Series graphics cards are powered by AMD's new RDNA 4 architecture, which has improved raytracing and AI capabilities compared to RDNA 3. The Predator BiFrost RX 9070 XT features boost clock speeds of up to 3100MHz, in part thanks to the Frost Blade fans and thick heatsink keeping temperatures in check. The BiFrost RX 9070 OC edition hits a boost clock speed of 2700MHz out of the box.
To get a little more out of your GPU, you can use Acer Intelligent Space, a hub software housing a number of AI features to help players, whether its through performance optimisation, or through intelligent colour shifting on the display to improve contrast and make enemies easier to spot. Acer ProCam also lets you quickly and easily save game clips.
