Zotac had 20,000 RTX 3080 Trinity pre-orders via Amazon Germany alone

As most of you probably have noticed, the RTX 3080 launch wasn't the smoothest. With websites crashing, limited stock and with scalpers using bots to get the few available graphics cards. Just how much demand was there for the RTX 3080 on launch day? Well thanks to Zotac, we have a pretty good idea.

After Nvidia's statement regarding the whole situation created by the launch of the RTX 3080, AiB partners are getting ready to ship thousands of cards, as said by Jacob from EVGA. Zotac also shared its situation on Twitter (via VideoCardz), stating that “almost 20,000 pre-orders have been received” from Amazon Germany alone.

Due to a bug, Amazon Germany was accepting pre-orders for Zotac RTX 3080 Trinity. Unfortunately, Zotac stated that it won't be able to fulfil all these pre-orders “in a short time”.

In other news regarding the Zotac RTX 3080 Trinity, quite a few reviewers claim that this graphics card is actually slower than the RTX 3080 Founders edition. According to a representative of Zotac US, this performance was a design decision to separate the “higher end models from the basic Trinity models”. Zotac US's representative later added that despite the 3080 Trinity was outperforming the FE in some cases, there might be “something else possibly going on” but Zotac isn't sure about what it is. Zotac will clarify this as soon as possible.

The Zotac RTX 3080 Trinity is available now, but finding it might be a bit hard. This graphics card is priced at £719.99. You can learn more about it HERE.
