The Nvidia RTX 5060 series launch has reportedly been pushed back, casting uncertainty over the release timeline for the lower-tier Blackwell gaming GPUs. Prior reports claimed that a launch date in April had been communicated to board partners. However, new information suggests a delay has taken place.
Information taken from the Board Channels forum (via HXL) suggests that Nvidia has recently informed the board partners of a revised delivery schedule for the RTX 5060 series. The phrasing implies a delay, although Nvidia's lack of official confirmation prevents a formal declaration of such.
According to this information, the RTX 5060 Ti, expected to become available in both 16 GB and 8 GB formats, is now planned to debut in mid-April, while the RTX 5060 is slated for a mid-May release. Note that these dates are subject to change, as indicated by the forum's post wording.
The rumoured specifications for these cards remain unaltered. As such, expect the RTX 5060 Ti to feature 4,608 cores across both memory variants, with a 180W TDP. As for the RTX 5060, it's projected to have 3,840 cores and an 8 GB memory configuration. Additionally, reports indicate that Nvidia is developing an RTX 5050, targeting the entry-level segment.
