Rumour claims Nvidia will launch three new RTX 30 GPUs in October

It may seem weird for Nvidia to release new RTX 30 series graphics cards when we're a few weeks away from the debut of the RTX 40 series. However, that seems to be the case, as two different sources claim the company will launch new versions of the RTX 3060, RTX 3060 Ti, and RTX 3070 Ti cards in October.

As reported by MEGAsizeGPU and VideoCardz, Nvidia will be launching an 8GB version of the RTX 3060 using a GA106 GPU. Although the memory speed will remain at 15Gbps, the memory bus will be different, using a 128-bit one instead. That change will result in a reduction of the maximum memory bandwidth to 240GB/s.

Unlike the RTX 3060, the new RTX 3060 Ti will be an upgrade over the original, as rumours claim it will feature 8GB of GDDR6X. Memory speed is unknown, but don't expect anything below 19Gbps. Regardless, maximum memory bandwidth will improve due to faster memory. Everything else should remain unchanged. Lastly, we have a new RTX 3070 Ti model using the GA102 GPU, the same as the one used on the RTX 3080 and 3090 series cards.

The three new SKUs should be available by the end of October, likely after the first RTX 40 series cards are released.
