Nvidia RTX 50 GPUs may not arrive until 2025

It seems we'll have to wait a little longer for the RTX 50 series. Initially expected to debut later this year with the RTX 5080 and RTX 5090, a new report claims that Nvidia might push the launch to early 2025.

According to Kopite7kimi, it is unlikely that Nvidia will reveal the new Blackwell Gaming GPUs before CES (January 7th to 10th, 2025). In the past, Nvidia has stuck to a two year cadence, often launching new gaming graphics cards in late Q3 or early Q4 each year. This time around, there may be a several month delay.

Despite Kopite7kimi's strong track record for accuracy, it is essential to approach these claims with some scepticism. As history has shown, release dates, specifications, and pricing are all subject to change and could materialise at any given moment.

Assuming this information is accurate, it looks like next-gen gaming GPUs will only be available in 2025, with the latest reports on AMD RDNA 4 and Intel Battlemage discrete GPUs also pointing to a release in the first half of next year at the earliest.
