Nvidia RTX 50 gaming laptops near launch

The wait for laptops powered by Nvidia's RTX 50 graphics is almost over. While CPU and GPU manufacturers typically shy away from announcing precise launch dates for gaming laptops due to the complexities of the supply chain, Nvidia has now confirmed the date for eager consumers.

Although Nvidia previously stated that the first RTX 50 laptops would ship in March, they've just announced that pre-orders will open as early as February 25th – just two weeks away. This timing aligns with the expected launches of Intel's Arrow Lake and AMD's Strix Point CPUs, setting the stage for a wave of new gaming laptops.

Several vendors have already begun showcasing upcoming laptops, though not all are currently accepting pre-orders. Some had already listed February 25th as the official pre-order date, so Nvidia's confirmation is no surprise. Still, it's important to remember that this date pertains to pre-orders; the actual shipping date for these laptops remains to be seen.

As previously reported, Nvidia has indicated that RTX 5090, 5080, and 5070 Ti laptops will be available in March, followed by RTX 5070 laptops in April. For this launch, Nvidia has partnered with various manufacturers, including Acer, Asus, Dell, Gigabyte, HP, Lenovo, Mechrevo, MSI, and Razer, ensuring a diverse selection of models.
