Nvidia is reportedly already producing RTX 4090 GPUs

Rumours have pointed to an October launch for the first RTX 40 series graphics cards and today, Nvidia announced plans to unveil its next-gen GPU architecture at GTC in September. Previous rumours have indicated that the RTX 4090 will launch first, and according to new sources, production has already begun.

OEM documents leaked on Baidu (via @harukazer5719) suggest the flagship RTX 40 series graphics card has been in production since August 16th. Moreover, the leaker blurred the GPU specifications but left a segment as it is. That segment confirms these cards will use the AD102 GPU and 24GB of memory. Moreover, the document shows the default video output layout will be 3x DPs and one HDMI port.

In the leaked document, we see four rows referring to RTX 4090 cards, meaning there are four batches of RTX 4090 in production at this facility. However, it's unclear whether these are all the same model. In any case, all of them are expected to be assembled in August.

The RTX 40 series is expected to debut in October with the launch of the RTX 4090. Assuming the document is accurate, it seems things are on track to meet that date.

KitGuru says: Considering RTX 4090 cards are already in production, it's safe to say the GPU and memory configurations are probably set in stone. Still, clock speeds may change before the release.
