Nvidia's GeForce RTX 5080 might be coming out sooner than you think. According to the latest reports, the upcoming high-end graphics card from the green team will launch on January 21st.
This news is from HKEPC, which has since removed the post for unknown reasons. While Nvidia has yet to confirm the date officially, it aligns with previous rumours suggesting a mid-January launch for the RTX 5080. Interestingly, it seems the RTX 5080 will launch solo, with the flagship RTX 5090 and the RTX 5070 Ti expected to arrive later.
The RTX 5080 specs are still unconfirmed, but it's believed it will feature the GB203-400 GPU with 10,752 CUDA cores. While it retains its predecessor's 16 GB VRAM capacity, it makes the leap to GDDR7 memory technology. Rumours suggest a memory speed of 30 to 32 Gbps, potentially making it the fastest memory configuration in the RTX 50 series lineup.
The RTX 5080's launch date is rumoured to be just a few days after the Intel Arc B570, which is expected to arrive on January 16th. AMD is also rumoured to launch its Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 in late January.
